The renowned champagne producer Moët & Chandon honors us with a special label for its bottles in celebration of ten years of successful partnership with Bugsy's Bar.

President Václav Klaus visits us for the first time. During the almost four hours he spends with us, he enjoys sampling our "inventions", including the Ginger Mojito, Almond Cigar and Daiquiri de Luxe.

Bugsy's Bar publishes a new menu which guests nickname the "Blue Bible". It includes the most expensive cocktail in the world at the time - the Manhattan Exclusive. It's not long before it is completely sold out!

Following the example of some of the world's great powers (Switzerland in 1907, the USA in 1912 and France in 1915) Bugsy's Bar stops selling Absinthe as the result of an unfortunate incident. We will never sell it again.

Alan Gage publishes his book entitled "Around the World in 80 Bars". Bugsy's Bar is the only representative from the countries of Central and Eastern Europe.

The Sazka Arena opens in Prague's Vysočany District and Bugsy's Bar opens (and still operates) a total of eight bars on the arena's club level. The first "stress test" is the Ice Hockey World Championship.

Bugsy's Bar receives the "Favorite Bar of the Year" award in the 2003 Playboy readers' survey.

We are celebrating 3,000 days of operations. The first celebratory day is only for our regular customers - the press is denied entry. The excellent entertainment continues into the early morning hours! The next day, the fun continues with the addition of cameras and many famous personalities.

For the first time ever, Bugsy's Bar is open on Christmas Eve, primarily on the basis of our team's initiative. Our first guests can enjoy their first drink at 9:00 p.m. - ninety minutes later it is impossible to walk through the bar. The atmosphere is perfect … Our guests are all in a wonderful mood … This is the start of our "Post-Carp Party" tradition.

Zdeněk Doubek, one of the bar's three co-founders, leaves the Bugsy's Bar team.

A good forty hours after the water in the Vltava reached peak levels, the underground water tears through Bugsy's Bar and activities must cease for a period of three months.

Antonín Truhlář, the patriarch of Czech bartenders, celebrates his eightieth birthday at Bugsy's Bar with a circle of friends and receives the honorable title of "Bugsy's Bar Most Esteemed Guest" together with a gold badge bearing the bar's logo.

An unaffiliated Bugsy's Bar, using the logo that was designed specifically for us by the Najbrt & Lev Studio, opens on Rue Montalivet in Paris. This sacrilege spurs us to register the Bugsy's Bar protected trademark in all the countries that are signatories to the Madrid Agreement.

Bugsy's Bar is mentioned on page 230 of Michal Viewegh's "Román pro ženy" ("A Women's Novel"), where the book's hero is describing to his partner with absolute precision the way the malt whisky they are drinking at our bar is made.
