Have you noticed our glass cupboard?

While you admire its beautiful shape, don’t forget to look at the display inside. Some of our more precious treasure can not bee seen anywhere else.

  • For instance, in the year 1795 typical Madeira “roasted” Wine was produced and nobody would have though that the visitor of Bugsy’s Bar would have a chance to see it in our bar.

  • A hundred and four years later in 1899, a bottle of Canadian Club was born. It was so important in production of the Manhattan, that nobody had the courage to open it.

  • It is not well known that the original receipt of Angostura Bitter’s has been used to produce this drink in Trinidad since 1824. Since then it has been used by bartenders all over the world. It is the original receipt of J.G.B Siegert from Krosvaldice, who immigrated to Venezuela. He worked there as an army doctor. Our specimen bottle originates from the time before the Second World War. It was hidden from the communists in a cellar by Mr. Paukert who lived in the National Street in Prague.

  • The company of Facundo Bacardi was forced to exile out of Cuba by Fidel Castro and some of the last bottles marked HENCHO EN CUBA can be seen in our bar.

  • The most valuable items belong to Mr. Rudolf Slavik (1900 – 1979), the most famous Czech bartender, but unfortunately he never got the chance to work in the Czech Republic. He became the head bartender in the Paris hotel George V. He also became the president of the French bartenders association and later the vice-president of the international bartenders association. For his activities in the revolt he was decorated by the order of the Honor legion.

His best friend Mr.Antonin Truhlar presented Bugsy’s Bar with some bar tools that belonged to Mr. Slavik. He used them while serving his dearest Customers and received them from his dear Erica during their 25th anniversary.

  • Some other items that you can see is the first hand decorated Bugsy's Bar apron, the ponder that was used to prepare more than 41,328 drinks, the smallest mixer set in the world, the Hennessy bottle signed personally by Maurice Hennessy and many other interesting things.

  • Has anybody the courage to tell us there is nothing to see in the Bugsy’s Bar?
